South America – from Galapagos to Patagonia

27/08/2018

For half a year biologist and photographer Marc Stickler travelled with public transport only equipped with his backpack and camera through South America. He traverses for his adventurous journey the entire continent from north to south, from Galapagos to Patagonia. With moving images and slideshows he tells us about unique people and cultures, shows surreal images of breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife. On the Galapagos, Marc dives into the fascinating underwater world of the Pacific Ocean. During deep dives, he is surrounded by sharks, eagle rays and curious sea lions. On the path of the Incas, he reaches Machu Picchu, Peru's most famous ancient Inca city.  Wherever possible he visits authentic local markets in the highlands of Peru and Bolivia. Exhausting but stunning multi-day hikes lead him to the grande Cerro Torre and Mount Fitzroy in Argentina and he finally reaches Torres del Paine National Park, the south of Patagonia. Authentic, heartwarming and honest speaks Marc about his adventure. Come and experience for yourself, a different road well travelled.
